A Deputy National Communicator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Jennifer Oforiwaa Queen has called on the government to initiate processes and prosecute former president John Mahama appointees who were corrupt to shut ‘loudmouth’ Sammy Gyamfi up.
This comes after Sammy Gyamfi days ago said the government is failing to prosecute former NDC appointees because they have no evidence of corruption yet keep bragging to the media.
Mr Sammy Gyamfi, told journalists at a press event that: “In fact, most of the cases of criminal prosecution against some officials of the former NDC regime [that] the NPP keeps bragging about … are beginning to crumble like a pack of cards right before their very eyes”.
“What we are seeing is a desperate regime, which is not interested in upholding fair trial and the interest of justice but determined to do everything possible under the sun to convict former NDC government officials at all cost for cheap political goal-scoring”, he alleged.
However, Jennifer Queen believes if government triggers processes to jail at least five former appointees of the NDC regime, Sammy Gyamfi would shut up.
She believes Mr Gyamfi has the mouth to talk because the government have failed to prosecute the NDC since they took over power in 2016.
