Hello Mr President, I’m highly enthused to express my profound gratitude on your retainment as president of the republic of Ghana. I will use this medium to congratulate you on your second coming as president and wish you the best in your service.
Mr president, I would like to draw your attention on your appointments that you will make in the days or months ahead. What matters me most is the ministerial appointments as well as the MMDCEs because most of them were the outcome of what we saw in this year’s election. I can emphatically say most of your appointees disappointed you and going forward, your administration should listen to the voice of the grassroots and I personally think in choosing of the MMDCEs, you should come to the grassroot and listen to the people who they wish can help because a lot of them were the people’s enemy and most people used that to vote against the government.
One key point you should also note is that; reshuffling of ministers should be a massive agenda in this administration to know the ultimate strength of every minister.
To my able CEOs who don’t mind the grassroots and the foot soldiers should be careful in this administration.
Those who ignore calls and chats should remember what happened in Parliament today. Power swings. Use your office to help others. In fact secure jobs for the youths and the foot soldiers. If by God’s grace you are a CEO or MD and you get ministerial appointment or retain your office, help the youths. Take the youths at heart and I promise you, going forward, the dynamics will change.
To all MMDCEs who failed the government should forget of second appointment. If the party will bear with me, if you are an MP and doubled as a minister and you lost your seat, you should rest for others to take over because it’s so strange and unanswered. In this second coming of H/E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, he should listen to the people and do their will in terms of appointments. The hardworking grassroots and foot soldiers like myself also deserve something. We will not sit for those who don’t have the party at heart to work against the government. The hardworking ministers should either maintain their positions and others should be reshuffled.
In fact some ministers are arrogant to the extent that they don’t listen to the grassroot nor foot soldiers in the party because they see themselves as superb. You will even call or chat a minister, MP, MMDCEs or CEO to project something important to them and they never even get time for you. I don’t know if they think you may even demand money from them or what. But among these personalities, we have people who are humble, kind hearted and selfless who are ready to listen to everyone but those ones do not even get any ministerial appointments.
I don’t know the criteria of giving those positions. In this second coming of H/E Nana Akufo-Addo, the high positions should be given to the grassroot people and those who worked in the interest of the party to bring the success and victory of the party not those who performs ‘watch- dog’ roles. In fact in the first administration, a lot of people were holding ceremonial positions and some offices didn’t yielded good results for the government.
I think H/E Nana Akufo-Addo before election, during, after and before his swearing in has taught him “how human beings are”. Appointments should be given to patriotic, loyal, dedicated and hardworking people not ” betrayers”.
Thank you
Signed
Dr. Nana Yaw Agyenim-Boateng. (0542632763)
