The Asokwa Constituency NPP’s First Vice Chairman, Edmund Kyei, has distributed beautifully packaged food items to support the aged and the vulnerable especially widows in some communities within Asokwa Constituency as part of activities to mark the celebration of the Christmas festival.
The beneficiaries who were more than 50 received a bag of rice, Sardine, cooking oil, packed tomatoes, toilet rolls, nose masks, hand sanitizers, among others.
Edmund Kyei, who double as New Patriotic party’s National Communication team member has undertaken several exercises to donate to orphanages, widows widowers, less-privileged, children on the streets and the needy in society over the past years to demonstrate love, care and compassion to them.
The exercise involved a house-to-house distribution of the items and interaction with the beneficiaries, Mr Kyei said the gesture was to bring some comfort to them.
He underlined his determination to do everything he could to make things a bit better for the vulnerable in the constituency not only occasionally but in terms of endearment.
Some of the beneficiaries after receiving their gift thanked Mr Edmund Kyei for the kind gesture.
