The member of parliament for Bosome Freho constituency, Hon. Akwasi Darko Boateng has donated 700 bags of cement and 25 packets of roofing sheet to communities in the Susu-Freho and Nsuta zones. “This donation is to aid the renovation of dilapidated school buildings in the area”, said the member of parliament.
Hon. Akwasi Darko Boateng further explained this gesture is as result of a request made by these communities during the “Thank you Tour” post 2020 parliamentary and presidential polls.
He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that his constituents receive the best form of education in a conducive and well structured atmosphere. He stated despite his earlier donation of chairs and desks and other learning materials, he will continue to lend a helping hand whenever the need arises.
The beneficiary towns include: Nyamebekyere, Tomfuokrom, Nsuta, Alhajikrom, Aframoase, Kakra, Yabiri, Keteke, Anomawobi, Appiakrom, Huntaado and Aboabo, all in the Nsuta zone with Minti, Nsuaem II, Nsutem, Ahwiaso, Semdadieso, Besease, Tebeso II, Anwiaso, Gyimakyi, Tete No. 1, Kordikrom, Freso, Abosamso, Asamama, Amomorso, Nsuaem II and Subriso in the SusuFreho zone.
Speaking with Akoma fm’s Nana Kwame Afriyie, he mentioned the donation was carried out as a result of a critical assessment of the current state of educational infrastructures and resolved it urgent attention hence going to their aid.
Receiving the items in Kokyerekrom, the assembly member for the area, Hon. Osei Clement thanked the member of parliament for this kind gesture and promised to lead his area use them for it purpose to give their education a facelift. He later wished him well in future endeavors.
