Residents of Akyem Asene community in the Asene-Manso-Akroso district of the Eastern region were on cloud nine last Wednesday, following the commissioning of a new palace for the chief and people of the area.
The inhabitants, prior to the commissioning, poured into the only principal street in the area, dressed in all white garments, carrying white handkerchiefs, and dancing to brass band music to register their happiness.
The palace was constructed through the instrumentality of the chief executive officer of Menphis Construction, Mr Patrick Kwame Danso and his wife, Mrs Gifty Agrey Danso.
Addressing the residents at a short but entertaining durbar before the official tape-cutting of the facility, Akyem Kotoku Queen mother, Nana Akua Asantewaa expressed his profound gratitude to the chief executive officer of Menphis Construction, Mr Patrick Kwame Danso and his wife, Mrs Gifty Agrey Danso and some other persons for the immense support and contributions towards the realisation of the project.

Mr Patrick Kwame Danso and his wife was described as humble and hardworking persons, for delivering on his promises to develop the community, and encouraged him to continue to do more for the people by the Queen Mother of Kotoku.
“The selfless dedication of Mr & Mrs Danso to the Akyem Asene community must be commended and acknowledged.”
The multipurpose magnificent edifice, comprising conference room, offices and Chief’s residence is one of various projects undertaken and completed under the Chief of Asene Nana Kakari Apau III

She therefore disclosed that, she has never seen such a nice building of Chief’s Palace before ever since she was installed as queen mother of Kotoku Traditional Area.
She therefore called the other Traditional Leaders to desist from unnecessary Chieftaincy disputes in Kotoku.
Akyem Asene gets new chief’s palace
The Chief of Aburi, Otoobour Djan Kwasi II also applauded the CEO of MENPHIS Construction for the building an ultra-modern palace for the people of Akyem Asene.
Speaking at the commissioning of ultra-modern palace, Otoobour Djan Mesah II disclosed that, the people of Asene are blessed to have good person like Mr. Patrick Danso and wife, Mrs. Gifty Agrey Danso.
Otoobour Djan Mesah II added that what the Danso family has demonstrated should also encourage others to do the same.
He therefore donated an amount of GH 10,000Cedis to the Chief of Asene Nana Kakari Apau III to deposit in the Palace account.
The Member of Parliament for Asene Manso Akroso District Hon. George kwame Aboagye noted that he was encouraged by the development activities of the Asene Chief, and gave the assurance he would deliver on the aspirations of his constituents by adopting industrialisation, technology and innovations as his focus for development in the area.
He also thanked the CEO of MENPHIS Construction for the great initiative and added that their names will never be wiped off from Akyem Asene.
