The Bishop of the Akyem-Oda Methodist Diocese, Rt. Rev. Isaac Kwame Boateng has joined a group of Ghanaians calling on the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) sit up and work harder for the country’s to take its course.
Bishop Boateng says the NPP should forget about breaking the 8, if all they seek is to come to power to amass wealth.
According to him, breaking the 8 comes with much effort and hard work as the winner of the next elections will be determined by the current economic conditions of the ordinary voters and the benefits they have gained from the policies implemented by the NPP.
Bishop Boateng strongly indicated God will not forgive the NPP if they take Ghanaians for granted. He said the NPP have had the power to deliver and that they should everything possible to keep the favor of God upon them.

Rt. Rev. Boateng noted that the ordinary voters who vote for every political party to come to power need development and policies that will benefit them. He, therefore, rallied the NPP to initiate such policies that will reflect on the lifestyle of the people.
He further cautioned the government to sit up, organize themselves, eschew selfishness and arrogance and avoid corruption to be able to gain God’s favour and win the next elections.
He also entreated the executives to be humble and deliver the promise they made to the voters.
He further urged them to use the state resources in a way that will benefit every citizen than diverting to things that will bring them personal gains, adding that if they failed to do so, the anger of God will expose them.
