A Ghanaian UK Based lesbian, DJ Ice and President of the Concerned Clergy Association, Bishop Benny Woode engaged in a heated banter during a discussion on the rights of of Lesbian, Gays, bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) on Atinka TV.

According to the lesbian, she is only attracted to females and therefore will not change her mind about it, saying that she has the right to engage in sexual activities with females.

She also stated that she is married to another woman who is pregnant for her at the moment after getting sperms from the sperm bank.

DJ Ice’s explanation did not sit well with the pastor, infuriating him to exchange words with the lesbian on Atinka TV’s Morning show, Ghana Nie, hosted by Ekourba Gyasi Simpremu.

According to DJ Ice, she had lost control of herself over going for the same sex, adding that despite efforts to change, she could not change.

But replying her, Bishop Benny Woode quizzed,“If someone is doing something and he or she has lost control about it, does mean you have to legalise it? If we legalise anything we have lost control over, nobody will survive on this earth.”

DJ Ice then quoted that ‘God created man in his own image’ as stated in the Bible to buttress her submission that gays and lesbians must be accepted the way they are.

Reacting to DJ Ice’s quote, that ‘God created man in his own image’, Bishop Woode said she should come out with the scientific findings that says human beings were born with that kind of genes that behave like gays.

Meanwhile, DJ Ice admitted that growing up she did not see anyone behave like her, adding that although she was different from everyone, she wished she was like anybody else.

The pastor also noted that there are records of people who have come out of lesbianism or gayism, but the lesbian challenged that pastor, saying that those who have come out were never lesbians or gays in the first place.

“They might have been bisexuals but were portraying themselves as gays in front of people, claiming someone prayed for them and they changed,” she said.

She denied claims that the LGBT people were wooing others to join them, saying that “Nobody has called anyone to join them, everyone has their preference, it does not mean you should judge me.”

When asked if homosexuality was a sin, she said she was just showing love to a fellow woman and therefore could not “say it is a sin or not”.
