It Would Be A Political Suicidal If NPP Does Not Elect Dr. Bawumia As Presidential Candidate – Analyst

Political analyst Michael Ebo Amoah believes it would be politically suicidal for New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates to vote for someone other than Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as their presidential candidate.

He explained that Dr. Bawumia, who is the Vice President remains the obvious choice of the NPP, and delegates should be guided by that and vote for him.

Mr. Ebo Amoah was speaking on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm about whether the description of Dr. Bawumia as E-Bawumia when he delivered his state of the nation address was an endorsement.

”From where I sit, it would be politically suicidal for the NPP to change Bawumia and bring another person. Just as former President John Dramani Mahama is the most marketed candidate for the NDC, Bawumia is the most marketed candidate for the NPP.

He indicated that the factors would go against the NPP if Dr. Bawumia is not elected as the presidential candidate.

“However, in the end, it is up to the delegates to make the final decision. From where I am, the delegates will vote for him. This is not based on any scientific research, but the delegates will choose Dr. Bawumia as the presidential candidate.”
