Rejected Juaben MCE Case: High Court Admits Viral Video As Evidence

Spread the love

A Kumasi High Court has admitted into evidence the viral video in which the rejected Juaben MCE, Mr Alexander Sarfo Kantanka was seen demanding a refund of monies paid to Assembly Members after he was voted against.

This is according to the Office of the Special Prosecutor.

It added that the evidence was admitted despite objection from the accused’s counsel.

According to the OSP, the admission of the viral video comes after the “OSP through its last and 6th witness tendered in evidence the tape.”

The case has however been adjourned to June 22, 2023, for cross-examination of the last witness of the Republic.

However, after the assembly members voted against his nomination, he was alleged to have openly called the assembly members to demand a refund of the monies.

Some of the affected assembly members reported his conduct to the Office of the Special Prosecutor and after investigations, he was charged and brought before the court.
