In recent times the overlord of Ashanti kingdom had put his fit down by destooling a long serving chiefs who disrespect his directives on a particularly issue.
It takes courageous to decide on a decision over a friend who has served the kingdom delightfully.
The executive director for corruption combat international, Nana Kwadwo Amoah Ampem Okogyeabour has applauded Otumfour Osei Tutu II for his strict actions against some chiefs within the Ashanti kingdom for committing various forms of crimes.
He was optimistic that the dethronement spree they have been experiencing in recent times at the Manhyia palace is a very great move that is helping to sanitise the system.
The executive director for corruption combat international who doubled as the great grandson of Otumfour Osei Tutu I and also the investigative chief for the Manhyia palace said, he foresee many of such chiefs following the line of dethronement.
According to him, there were still some chiefs who keep putting up bad behaviours that denigrates the great kingdom.
He has however appealed to Otumfour Osei Tutu II to add more chiefs to serve as deterrent.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Executive Director of Corruption Combat International Nana Kwadwo Amoah Ampem who recently joined residents of Donyina to call for the installation of a new queen mother further applauded the Ashanti overlord for his quick intervention which helping the residents to see a light.
According to him, all directions point to a clear fact that Donyina is going to get a new queen mother.
Notwithstanding the accusations of some authorities over the machinations of the process at the earlier stage, he however pleaded with Otumfour to punish anyone who may be found culpable.
“There were some people who tried to corrupt the process and I believe Otumfour Osei Tutu II knows best and can know how to deal with such” he lamented.
According to him, in a coming week or month chiefs who disrespect the directives and customs and traditions must prepare for their exits on their thrones.
Further explained that Ashanti stools are not for sale and must be maintained by those who are from proper lineages.
