Secret Tape Sagas In The Ghanaian Security Circles; A Looming Danger.

One’s freedom of speech they say ends at another person’s right to freedom of peace and tranquility.

However, both rights are severely curtailed when one’s freedom to privacy and secrecy is disrespected by people near and far.

Speaking to Akoma FM news in an interview, The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Narrowlite International Company, Mr. Kwame Adomako Samuel has asserted that every Ghanaian has the right to privacy as enshrined in the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.

This constitutional provision in the nations book of law seems to be endangered by the release of so-called surreptitious tapes that have hit the nation in recent times.

“Ghanaians have had the tape of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mr. George Akuffo Dampare, COP George Alex Mensah, Superintendent George Asare and the National Security Minister Hon. Albert Ken Dapaah among others.”

The perpetrators of this arguably irresponsible behavior claim they are exposing the ‘evils men do’ in our society but their motive cannot be trusted especially when the majority of these tapes only seem to indict one security bigwig or the other.

Ironically it appears that the main actors behind these tapes are the same security bigwigs. So can we confidently say that securities are their own enemies. He quest?

Mr. Adomako pleaded with government and lawmakers to make the law take it cause and deal with whoever is found guilty of such abnormal act in the country.

He asked Ghanaians to be very wary in their interactions with others particularly on phone conversation.
