The 1st  Deputy Speaker of Parliament and New Patriotic Party’s Member of Parliament (MP) for Bekwai Constituency, Joseph Osei Owusu (Joe Wise) on Friday received the embarrassment of his life, when residents of Gyasikrom and Asokore community mercilessly chased and hooted  him  and his campaign  team  with “brooms “

The people were outburst by what they termed as the abysmal performance and continuous neglect by the MP after 12 years in parliament.

The member of Parliament and 1st deputy speaker of Parliament and his campaign team went to a community called Gyasikrom – Asokore electoral area  to campaign on incoming December polls, Upon reaching, the youth and the people of the community hits the streets  of the town with brooms and  hooted at  the MP and his campaign team  with the popular phrase. “Away!!!, Away!!!, Away!!!” 

Realizing the degree of anger of the youth, Joe Wise  and his team quickly sped off for their own safety.

Pieces of information gathered from the Bekwai  Constituency indicate that the MP has fallen out of glory and lost the trust of the people including some of his own party executives, due to his non performance and the alleged show of arrogance.

They alleged that Mr. Joseph Osei Owusu  popularly known as “Joe Wise” always attacks the chiefs and people of the Constituency anytime they raised concerns about the poor nature of their roads and the lack of developmental interventions.
