The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), has released the voting centres for its upcoming parliamentary primaries scheduled for January 27, 2024.

Delegates of the governing New Patriotic Party will go to the polls and elect parliamentary candidates specifically for constituencies with incumbent Members of Parliament (MPs) ahead of the general elections in December.

The party has already selected parliamentary candidates in constituencies where it does not have sitting MPs, known in political parlance as orphan constituencies.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP)  parliamentary primaries will take place in the various constituencies across all 16 regions of the country.

From January 3 to January 5, 2024, the Party thoroughly examined all candidates for parliament in the nation’s constituencies where its MPs are currently serving.

While 326 candidates have been cleared for the primaries, a number of sitting MPs are contesting the polls unopposed.

Meanwhile, the party’s National Appeal Committee has not yet determined whether there will be an election or not in three constituencies, including Akyem Oda and Bimbila.

According to information obtained by your trustworthy source, MyGhanaMedia.com, the Appeal Committee is expected to release its report on the three constituencies where vetting results are on hold by tomorrow, January 17, 2024.
