“Breaking the 8” is not negotiable, according to Chairman Wontumi, also known as Bernard Antwi Boasiako, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He predicts that NPP will win the 2024 general election at all costs.
He asserts that the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the main opposition, is powerless to prevent the NPP from winning the next general elections, no matter the amount of propaganda they will produce.
“Breaking the 8″ is non-negotiable; we are breaking the eight and we are winning the 2024 election. The NDC can do propaganda; they can lie, but there is nothing they can do.”.
He added that Dr. Bawumia will lead the Republic of Ghana as its next president.
In order to maintain continuity, he said, countries tend to develop more effectively when a single political party holds sway for an extended period of time.
On Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the NPP parliamentary primaries, he made this declaration while visiting several polling places.
