Samuel Obeng, a 20-year-old man, has allegedly killed his 8-year-old brother, Messiah Akomeah. According to Obeng, he committed the act in a bush near Kwamo, a town in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

Joy News reports that Obeng informed his uncle, Kofi Appiah, after the murder.

Obeng is said to have indicated that he was possessed by a spirit to lure his brother to follow him so he could kill him.

He is alleged to have slit his brother’s throat with a kitchen knife before finishing the horrific act with a dagger.

He then dragged Akomeah’s body into a pond in the bush in an attempt to dispose of it.

Kofi Appiah, Obeng’s uncle, after receiving the message, immediately rushed to the scene only to find Messiah’s lifeless body, blood-soaked and brutally mutilated.

Appiah added that Obeng is a chronic weed smoker. The two brothers are said to be part of a family of five children.
