In a bold declaration during his campaign launch, Hon. Seth Osei Akoto, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Atwima Mponua Constituency in the Ashanti Region, has set an ambitious target of securing 85% of the votes in the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

The event, which attracted a significant gathering, was also graced by the NPP’s running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh.

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Mr. Akoto expressed his confidence in the NPP’s stronghold within the constituency.

He asserted that the party’s track record and the initiatives they plan to roll out in the coming months would position them favorably in the elections.

“I can assure you that whatever can be done within these three months to help the constituents, we shall pursue that aggressively,” he said, emphasizing the party’s dedication to addressing the needs of the people in the Atwima Mponua Constituency.

Mr. Akoto’s pledge to achieve at least 85% of the total votes cast reflects his determination to ensure a landslide victory for both himself and the NPP’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

His optimism is not without foundation; the NPP has been a dominant force in the Ashanti Region, often regarded as the party’s stronghold, and Atwima Mponua is no exception.

During the campaign, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as “NAPO,” highlighted the significant achievements of the NPP government in various sectors, including education, energy, health, and infrastructure.

He reminded the gatherings of opinion leaders, Christian and Islamic clergy, and the youth of the party’s performance, which he believes is a clear indication of what Dr. Bawumia’s presidency would bring.

NAPO’s message resonated well with the attendees, further energizing the campaign and reinforcing the belief that the NPP would retain the seat.

The campaign launch also witnessed a strong commitment from the local NPP members, who vowed to work tirelessly to retain the Atwima Mponua seat.

They acknowledged the numerous developmental projects the NPP government has undertaken in the constituency and emphasized the need to continue on this path by voting massively for both the parliamentary and presidential candidates.

“NPP has done a lot of developmental projects in the constituency, and there is more to be done, which is why we must vote massively for the parliamentary candidate and the presidential candidate in the December general elections,” one of the party members said.

The energy and enthusiasm displayed during the campaign launch serve as a testament to the widespread support for Dr. Bawumia’s candidacy and the belief in the NPP’s ability to deliver on its promises.

As the elections draw closer, all eyes will be on Atwima Mponua to see if Hon. Seth Osei Akoto’s ambitious target will be met.
