A/R: Ejisu MCE Nominee,Samuel O. Frimpong Confirmed

The assembly members of the Ejisu Metropolitan Assembly have confirmed the President’s nominee, Hon Samuel Oduro Frimpong as the Municipal Chief Executive.

The President’s nominee got 38 YES votes while 2 voted NO  out of the 40 votes cast.

The nominee has secured the 2/3 votes required to be confirmed as the MCE of the Ejisu Municipal Assembly.

It was a joyous mood this morning when Assembly Members for the Ejisu Municipality gave a 95% thumbs up for President Akufo-Addo’s nominee.

 

The MCE of the Ejisu Municipal Hon Samuel Oduro Frimpong  addressing journalists thanked President Akufo-Addo for nominating him for the Ejisu Metropolitan Assembly.

“ I want to assure President Akufo-Addo that I will not let him down for the confidence and trust reposed in me as your representative.”

He thanked the Ashanti Regional Minister and party executives for their support for his nomination and ensuring that he is confirmed as the MCE .

 

Mr. Samuel assured that he would count on assembly members for their guidance and support for the Ejisu Municipal assembly to achieve its goals.

“ Let us set aside our political interest and work as a team to ensure that our people are taken out of poverty which is our common enemy.”

 

 

 

Profile Of Samuel Oduro Frimpong

 

He started his life’s journey with his Basic Education in Methodist Primary School at Akyawkrom/Ejisu Roman Catholic.

He had his Secondary education at Konongo Odumasi Secondary School from 1983 to 1990 (form one to Upper Six) as he pursued businesses.

 

At the Tertiary Education, he had a BBA (Accounting) from the Christian Service University College (2008), and MBA (Accounting) from KNUST 2011.

Samuel Oduro Frimpong is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) as a Chartered Accountant.

 

Has worked with the Ghana Health Service for 25 years from Midwifery Training School, Kumasi South Hospital, Obuasi government hospital, Bekwai Municipal Hospital, Municipal Health Directorate, New Edubiase Government Hospital, Suntreso government hospital and now the Head of Finance of the Ashanti Regional Hospital.

He is the Chairman of the Audit committee of the Ejisu Municipal Assembly.

 

With Local Government/politics, he was the Unit Committee Chairman (2006 to 2014) at Akyawkrom.

 

Pooling Station Chairman of (Methodist Primary School Akyawkrom from 2006 to 2010)

 

From 2014 to 2018, Constituency 2nd Vice Chairman, First Vice Chairman and Acting Chairman led the party to win power in 2016 for the constituency.

 

And finally from 2018 up to date, the Constituency chairman who led the party to win the just ended 2020 election.

 

A man full of knowledge and experience set to deliver just what Ejisu Constituency needs when approved as MCE.
