Director of Operations (NPP Campaign Team) for Asawase constituency Hon Ali Suraj has debunked allegations spewed against him by the MP Hon Muntakar Mubarak over the arrest of 10 NDC members which occurred on Saturday.

He has hooked the Member of Parliament to render an apology for making false claims that he Ali Suraj and Hon Alidu Seidu (NPP 2020 parliamentary candidate) masterminded the arrest through the Anti- Robbery Unit of the Ghana Police Service.

“If only he ( Hon Muntakar Mubarak) respects the country, the Zongo community and the entire citizenry, he should come out and apologise because he has tarnished my image.”

Addressing the media on Monday, he made a strong defense that he and Hon Alidu Seidu have no hand in the arrest of the 10 and that “since I started politics, I have never influenced the arrest of even a chicken before”.

“We know nothing about the arrest… I want to advise my brother that anytime he gets an opportunity to address the media, he should tell them the truth and tell them exactly what happened”.

Ali Suraj also falsified claim by the incumbent MP that the 10 were arrested at the NDC party office.

Making a disclosure, he indicated that the 10 were arrested at the forecourt of a library built by the MP and that none of the arrestees are executives of NDC.

He again challenged Hon Muntakar Mubarak to prove with a recorded video his claim that they were arrested at NDC party office.

Ali Suraj hit the nail right on the head that no amount of character assassination by way of allegations will discourage him from giving out his best towards ensuring that NPP wins the parliamentary seat.

“He (Hon Muntakar) thinks that he can make me back off and give up my support for Hon Alidu Seidu. I want to tell him that he has lost the elections already. Everything indicate that he will loose his seat this year 2020”
