A concerned group called Atwima Youth for Development in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency has expressed worries concerning the upcoming MMDCEs appointments, especially their constituency.
According to the youth group, the national, regional and the constituency of the NPP should not dare to nominate or recommend the former, Hon. Michael Amoah Awuku, in this Nana Addo’s second term.
Leader of the group, Hon. Foster Otchere, at a news conference today stated clearly that Hon. Awuku failed his first term as not even one or two social amenities have been constructed or done in the area.
Moreover, Hon. Micheal Amoah Awuku as MCE failed the D-PAT when assessed by the government at the end his four year tenure in 2020, he added.
Mr. Otchere therefore boldly said, President Akufo Addo should either send troops or huge number of police or security personnel to fight them, if Hon. Awuku is renominated or reappointed to govern the municipality.
He added that the group is not in support of anyone to be their next MCE or do not mind whoever apart from Hon. Awuku will be appointed but as concern citizens and patriots they just don’t want him (Awuku) to be reappointed for his abysmal performance which if he is re-nominated to continue as MCE can lead the NPP party lose votes in 2024.
Many of we the citizens, both the party supporters and the ordinary citizens have lost hope in him because of his bad or poor performance in his previous term
