Minority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Adaklu, Governs Kwame Agbodza, has issued a strong warning to Abetifi MP Dr. Bryan Acheampong, cautioning him against any attempts to interfere with the 2024 elections.
Speaking during NDC Flagbearer John Mahama’s campaign tour in the Volta Region, Mr. Agbodza made it clear that the opposition would not tolerate any actions that could compromise the integrity of the elections. He recalled violence during the 2020 elections, which resulted in the deaths of eight people, and warned that such events would not be allowed to happen again in 2024.
Mr. Agbodza criticized President Akufo-Addo, the current commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, suggesting that he has lost control and is allowing individuals within his government to threaten the nation’s peace and security. He specifically referenced Bryan Acheampong, accusing him of making threats about using force to influence the election outcome.
Agbodza also issued a stern warning to security personnel and others against any efforts to disrupt the elections, particularly in the Volta Region. He stated that such actions would be met with self-defense and that those responsible could become victims themselves.
