The four-time winners of the tournament has been handed a tough draw in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Cameroon.
Ghana were drawn alongside Morocco, Comoros and Gabon in Group C of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations
A draw held at Yaounde Conference Centre on Tuesday made up of 24 participating teams divided into six groups of four teams each.
The 24 qualified nations were allocated to four pots of six teams each, based on the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking released on 12 August 2021.
The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations had to be postponed twice due to wet weather concerns and Covid-19 and even the draw, originally set for June, was delayed by the pandemic.
The 33rd edition of the Cup of Nations will be played in Cameroon (five cities, six venues) from 6th January 2022 to 6th February 2022.
Cameroon were selected to stage the 2019 tournament, but fell behind with their preparation and Egypt had to take over at short notice.
