The Movement for Change has congratulated former President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for what it describes as an emphatic victory in the 2024 General Elections.
Although the Electoral Commission has not officially declared the results, the movement emphasized that it is clear the people of Ghana have spoken.
In a statement issued on December 8, 2024, founder and leader of the Movement for Change, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, urged all Ghanaians to accept the outcome once the official results are released to maintain peace and unity across the nation.
The statement also commended all presidential and parliamentary candidates for their responsible conduct during the election, citing this year’s general election as one of the most peaceful in the country’s history.
Mr Kyerematen extended his sympathies to the family of the individual who reportedly lost their life during the election and to those injured in related incidents.
“In this election, there are no winners or losers, but Ghana is the true victor,” he said, calling on the nation to unite in the spirit of peace and progress.
