Bhojpuri Association Of Ghana Celebrates The Ramnavami-Unity Day

Bhojpuri is a group of people who believe in a common objectives of unity, Culture and spirituality.

The very source of this group was established in India, which obviously the majority of its members are India indegenes. But as socio-cultural activities exist in our global society, there is always a movement to seek greener pastures in other neighbouring states, like Ghana.

A lot of these members who belong to the above name society migrated to Ghana, and for that matter continues to honour this unique day.

 

 

 

 

 

All natives of India were invited to the occasion, including the high commissioner, and other friends of India and love ones.

Mr. Manish Gupta, the India High commissioner speaking to the media said that the faithfull day has displayed the rich cultural and the spiritual heritage of India.

On behalf of the Bhojpuri Association of Ghana, the commissioner expressed gratitude for all who turn up to participate at the celebration, because it signifies the global unity of mankind.

The commissioner also used this opportunity to addressed some bilateral discussions going on between India and the United States, with regards to imposing on some universities in the world by the US, which India could be a victim.

 

 

 

Mr. Gupta continue to commend the deep relationship which exist between Ghana and India. The ongoing of some developmental projects in Ghana by the Indian government, the development of the jubilee House, building of the Kofi Annan ICT Centre, and other infrastructures.

There are other extensive programmes which have to do with international capacity building and training which is fully sponsored by the government of India annually.

Since the change of government in Ghana , India Investors are more excited to come and establish here in Ghana, and he is much grateful’.

The president of the Bhojpuri Association of Ghana– Mr. Awadnesy Pandey, also engage the media saying that Ramnavami festival celebration signifies truth, and right of all person involved.

 

 

 

 

He added that the India society is bringing all India community and the Ghanaians to celebrate this festival, as they believe in equal culture value, respect the elderly, and to forster social cohesion.

According to him, Bhojpuri Association encourage everyone to respect truth and right of all mankind.

Madam Sabiya Paul, in charge of (press, info, Culture, and education) attache at the India High commission office, also addendum her voice to the occasion and said; `they are in support of the festival, which in her understanding is also the birth day of Ramnavami the goddess of India.

The festival normally commences with nine (9) day fasting before the festival celebration and durbar.

Bhojpuri is a sect of community within the Hindu citizens, who normally celebrate this festival of unity, Culture, and truth.

However, there are a lot of festivities which goes on periodically, with respect to which group of society, religious, or sect, you belong to in India.
At the end of the day, everybody ends up to a common goal, which is; culture, truth, and respect to human right.
