The newly appointed District Chief Executive (DCE) for Birim South, Hon. Taaju Rahim, has expressed his commitment to working closely with the people of the district to ensure effective service delivery.
By engaging with the community and leveraging the expertise of different departments and organizations, he aims to address key challenges and improve the quality of life for residents.
In an exclusive interview on Ahenkan FM’s Maakye show, Hon. Rahim outlined his vision for the district and his plans to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Hon. Rahim called on past DCEs to offer their support and guidance whenever needed, acknowledging the progress they have made in the district.
He expressed appreciation for their contributions and pledged to build upon their achievements.
Recognizing that farming is a major occupation in the district, Hon. Rahim emphasized his intention to work with the Agriculture department to improve farming practices and support local farmers.
Additionally, he highlighted the importance of sanitation and pledged to collaborate with Zoomlion and the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) to enhance sanitation in the district.
Hon. Rahim also announced plans to meet with traditional leaders, traders, and Assembly members to discuss upgrading the ‘Wednesdays’ market in Akyem Swedru, the district capital. This initiative aims to boost the local economy and improve the livelihoods of traders and residents.
With his vision and collaborative approach, Hon. Taaju Rahim is poised to make a positive impact on Birim South. As the district embarks on this new chapter, residents can expect improved service delivery, enhanced economic opportunities, and a brighter future.
