E/R: See Areas That Will Be Affected By ECG’s Planned Maintenance At Akwatia Bulk Supply Point On May 22

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced that the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) will carry out planned maintenance work at the Akwatia Bulk Supply Point on Thursday, May 22, 2025, to enhance service delivery.

The maintenance exercise will affect power supply to the following areas: Ofoase, Chia, Ayirebi, Nkwantanum, Odasco, Akokoaso, Manso, Asene, Atiakama Nkwanta, Aboabo, Oda Town, Jamaica, Oda Market, Post Office, Sawmill, Joe Duro, Akim Swedru, Achiase, Asikuma, Aunty Grace, Akwatia Town and Akwatia no.4.

Additional affected communities include Boadu, Osenase, Topreman, Mpeasem, Pameng, Adonkrono, Kade, Otumi, Kusi, Takorase, Subi, Asuom, Abompe, Abomosu, Sankubenase, Akrofufo, Takyiman, and nearby Communities.

The ECG has expressed regret over the inconvenience the planned outage may cause and has assured residents that the maintenance is necessary to improve the reliability and quality of power supply.
