The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Kwahu East in the Eastern Region, Hon. Samuel Asamoah, has assured residents that the police and other security services are ready to protect the peace in the area.
Hon. Asamoah made this commitment during a media engagement, highlighting the district’s security challenges and his administration’s plans to address them.
According to Hon. Asamoah, the three major security issues in the area are disputes, the Fulani menace, and illegal mining.
He believes that resolving these challenges will pave the way for the district’s development.
“If we can solve these three main challenges, developing the area will be easy,” he stated.
Hon. Asamoah emphasized that President John Mahama is known for his problem-solving approach and expects all his appointees to adopt a similar mindset.
“President John Mahama is a problem solver, and therefore all his appointees are the same,” he said.
He expressed confidence that with this approach, the security issues and other challenges in the district will be resolved, contributing to the government’s “reset” agenda.
The DCE assured residents that the security personnel in the district are prepared to risk their lives to maintain peace and security. “The police and its partner services are ready to risk their lives if the need arises to protect the peace in the area,” Hon. Asamoah stated. This commitment aims to reassure residents of the district’s safety and security.
Hon. Asamoah’s administration plans to tackle the security challenges through a combination of measures. While specific strategies were not detailed, his emphasis on problem-solving and collaboration with security agencies suggests a comprehensive approach to addressing these issues.
The DCE’s assurance and commitment to addressing security challenges in Kwahu East aim to promote peace and stability in the district. By prioritizing security and adopting a problem-solving approach, Hon. Asamoah and the district’s security personnel hope to create a conducive environment for development and progress.
