Atwima Nwabiagya South MCE Fined ¢30,000 For Unlawful Demolishing

The Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Micheal Amoah Awuku has been fined Thirty Thousand Ghana Cedis (¢30,000.00) by the Kumasi High Court Three (3).
The fine was handed over to him for deliberately demolishing stores at Abuakwa in the Municipality unlawfully.
The Presiding Judge, Justice Obiri Francis presided that, the Municipal Assembly should also pay Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis (¢10,000 .00) to the court whiles the MCE pays ¢30,000.00.
The total amount to be paid to the court by both the MCE and the assembly would sum up to Forty Thousand Ghana Cedis (¢40,000.00)
They have been given a 24 hour ultimatum to pay the fine or face jail term.
The verdict was given yesterday, Thursday, December 2,2021, at the said court.
