Some residents in the Birim Central municipality are appealing to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to nominate a new person to be considered as the Municipal Chief Executive for the area.
The appointment of Madam Victoria Adu as the Municipal Chief Executive for Birim Central Municipality was revoked by the president, leaving the assembly without a chief executive.
President Nana Akuffo Addo terminated Madam Victoria Adu’s appointment on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.
It has been a week since her firing without a swift replacement.
Without an MCE to superintend over the administration of the municipality, some residents have expressed worry that the development of the area will be delayed.
“It is becoming a worry for us; therefore, we appeal to the government to appoint a new person to take charge of the Assembly. We don’t have an MCE, and the absence of a leader will hamper local development,” some residents in the municipality informed MyGhanaMedia.com.
“We are calling on the president of the land, His Excellency Nana Addo, to name a new MCE for Birirn Central Municipality.”
