The Chief of Amantem Nkwanta and his elders have issued a warning to any individual or private developer to be wary of purchasing land from unauthorized persons in their community.

Nana Kwaku Amantem III, Chief of Amantem Nkwanta in the Asene Manso Akroso district, is issuing a warning to the public in response to multiple complaints his office has received throughout the course of the period.

The chief revealed that the Stool had taken notice of persons from the Suponso community pretending to be the owners of the lands in Amantem Nkwanta, along with certain falsified documents.

100 acres of their property had reportedly been sold by these self-claimed landowners, based on the chief’s information.

At a news conference held at the Amantem Nkwanta Palace, Nana Kwaku Amantem III pleaded with the public not to engage with these dishonest individuals, who would ultimately be detrimental to their interests.

He says that all the essential documentation about their stool land is on hand and that anyone wishing to challenge them should do so by testing the law rather than attempting to do it violently.

He additionally gave an advisory to the illegal land sellers allegedly from Suponso to avoid their territories; otherwise, they would also engage in violent conflict with them.

He added that persons who had acquired land within the traditional boundaries without notifying the stool had done so at their own risk.

However, before buying any land in the traditional area, he advises the public to exercise caution and make sure they conduct all the necessary research or get in touch with the Stool.

Therefore, Nana Kwaku Amantem III made a call to President Akufo-Addo, members of Parliament in the Akyemansa block, and National Security to step in right away and settle the land dispute before it got out of control.

In an effort to rally the ancestors in support of the battle for their stool lands, the Chief and his elders pour forth libations.

He pointed out that the chief of Akyem Manso, who doubles as Benkumhene of the Akyem Kotoku traditional area, Obrempong Sintim Poku III, is the only one capable of taking control of the Amantem Nkwanta stool land.

Additionally, Nana Ansah affirmed that no one has the authority to take the stool land away from the Amantem Nkwanta people because it has been blessed by Akyem Mansohene for their use.
