Bibiani Gold Stars will play in the top tier of Ghanain football for the first time after drawing goalless against Pacific Heroes in matchweek 28 in the 2020/21 Division One League (DOL) league Zone Three at the Dun’s Park in Bibiani.
Gold Stars lead Zone two with 62 points after 28 games played so far. With just two games to end the season, the Bibiani-based club will be making their first Premier League appearance.
Gold Stars have shown dexterity and character all season winning 18 – drawing 8 and recording two defeats in 28 matches. They remain the only side in the entire Ghanaian first and second-tier football to amass over 60 points with the season yet to end.
They have scored an impressive 39 goals and conceded 11 in the process with Prince Kwabena Owusu as their leading scorer in the Zone with 18 goals.
Gold Stars, 62, are 6 points ahead of second-placed Skyy FC who have 56 points with three matches remaining. Today’s results mean Gold Stars will walk into the ‘table of men’ where ‘kings and Queens dine.’
Gold Stars will wrap up their season with an away game against Samartex before playing Wassaman in the final game at home in matchweek 30.
