A Young boy believed to be 9 years old has this morning met his untimely death after a tipper truck on a top speed knocked him down at Awutu Beraku in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region.
Source indicates that, the deceased was on his way to school with his younger brother, both of them upon crossing the road at *Akrampa junction,* a few meters before reaching Awutu Beraku Township on the Kasoa – Winneba Stretch of the Highway, where a speeding Tipper Truck with registration number *GR 8763-21* from Kasoa heading towards Awutu Beraku crasked him to death at the spot.
Some Eyewitnesses narrating what transpired to Bryt FM News Correspondent Eric Owusu Amponsah said, such accidents persistently do occur here since there is no speed ramps to reduce vehicle’s speed.

They are therefore calling on the Ministry of Highways to as a matter of urgency come to their aid and curb the situation.
Meanwhile, Chief Inspector Teiko at the Winneba MTTD Command in an interview with Bryt FM News also confirmed the sorrowful accident and said the deceased has been sent to Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital morgue for autopsy and investigations.
