VIDEO: Campaign on Competence, Not Insults And Personal Attacks – Kwabena Frimpong Urges NPP Aspirants And Supporters

Kwabena Frimpong, Deputy Director of Protocol at the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has appealed to supporters of all presidential hopefuls, aspiring party executives, and other internal election candidates to focus on highlighting the competence and vision of their preferred candidates in the lead-up to the party’s internal elections.

Addressing members of the NPP-UK North London Chapter, Frimpong emphasized the need for a positive, issues-driven campaign atmosphere. He cautioned that divisive tactics such as personal attacks and insults could severely damage the party’s internal cohesion and harm its prospects ahead of the 2028 general elections.

“The unity of the party after these internal contests will be critical to our success in 2028,” Frimpong stated. “If campaigns are based on insults and personal vendettas, it will be difficult for those who lose to join hands with those who win, and that puts our collective goal at risk.”

While acknowledging that every supporter has the right to back their candidate of choice, Frimpong urged party faithful to resist the temptation to resort to attacks that could fracture the party.

“Let us all promote campaigns grounded in competence and a shared vision for the party. This is how we can build a strong and united front,” he said.

Frimpong’s comments serve as a timely reminder to aspirants and their teams that the tone and conduct of their campaigns will influence the NPP’s ability to present a united, credible alternative to Ghanaians in the next national elections.

As the party prepares for its internal contests, his message reinforces the importance of discipline, unity, and forward-looking leadership in the NPP’s journey to recapture power.
