The committee tasked to screen persons who opted for the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executive positions nationwide and make recommendations presented its report a few weeks ago to the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The report has since been forwarded to the Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development, Dan Botwe.
Mr. Botwe is expected to make the recommended MMDCEs known publicly ahead of the various MMDA elections for approval or disapproval of the various nominees.

Bringing the number of seats from 13 to 20. This is out of 29 in the Region.
