President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has assured Ghanaians that the measures put in place to tackle the coronavirus in Ghana are yielding results.
In his 25th COVID-19 update on Sunday May 16 he said “There is light at the end of the tunnel.”
He called on Ghanaians to continue to adhere to the protocols against the virus.
Mr Akufo-Addo further stated that the government is still targeting to vaccinate 20 million people against the virus by the end of the year.
He said although the government is having challenges to access more vaccines, the target is still to vaccinate that number by end of the year.
“…The target is to vaccinate some 20 million Ghana at the end of the year,” he said.
Mr Akufo-Addo cautioned Ghanaians against traveling to high risk countries if the purposes of the trip is not pressing.
