Didi Dramani, George Boateng Named New Black Stars Assistant Coaches

The Executive Council of the Ghana FA, have appointed Masud Didi Dramani and George Boateng as the new deputy Black Stars coaches.

 

The initial reports indicated Irish gaffer, Chris Hughton was going to be named the new head coach but the Football Association has confirmed that he will be the Technical advisor whiles Borussia Dortmund’s assistant Otto Addo will serve as the head coach.

 

 

Masud Didi Dramani is a renowned coach who is highly regarded in the country having previously worked with Kotoko, Black Queens and just recently with Danish giants FC Nordsjaelland.
Also, George Boateng is a Ghanaian born Dutch international who is currently the head coach of Aston Villa U-23. Previously he’s worked with Blackburn Rovers.
The Ghana Football Association will be submitting the list to the Ministry of Youth and Sports for an approval after the announcement.
The new technical handlers are expected to lead the Black Stars against Nigeria in the playoff round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

 

 

Meanwhile, the team will be hoping to bounce back with the FIFA 2022 World Cup qualifiers play-offs slated for March this year.

Four-time champions Ghana were eliminated in the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations with a 3-2 loss to tournament debutants Comoros, in a shocker that outweighed a string of surprises in Cameroon.

The team will immediately start preparations ahead of the crucial game against Nigeria in the pay-offs of the World Cup qualifiers.

Ghana performed poorly at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, forcing the sack of Milovan Rajevac.
