E/R: Driver Dies After Speeding Private Car Somersaulted At A Sharp Curve

A driver has died in a fatal accident on Nsawam stretch of the Accra to Kumasi Highway of the Eastern region.

The accident occured Thursday April 22, 2021 at about 2:45pm.

The driver, Daniel Vorsah aged about 46years was in-charge Toyota Sienna XLE private Car with registration number GM 8994-13, driving from Adoagyiri towards Okanta with two passengers identified as Emmanuel Ashong, 45 and, George Amposah , 37 on board.

On reaching a section of the road at Signboard, on Adoagyiri-Ntoaso motor road, the driver did not reduce the speed while negotiating a sharp curve, as a result lost control of the steering wheel and the vehicle veered off the main road, somersaulted and crashed into a ditch.

The occupants including the driver sustained Serious injuries and were rushed to Nsawam Government Hospital for medical attention, but the driver Daniel Vorsah was pronounced dead on arrival.

The body of the deceased was deposited at the same hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy .

The two victims are responding to treatment.

According to the investigator, Sergeant Ahiakpa Michael, the accident car has been towed to the Nsawam Police station for examination and testing
