MyGhanaMedia Editor who also work with Odi Communication Network (AHENKAN 93.3 FM) in the Eastern region , Adwenpa-Hene Kofi Mensah secretly known as Mensah Francis, has urged Christians to use the Easter celebrations to renew their strengths in God.
He said the “resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day is a testimony of a new life of hope, promise and fulfilment for those who believe and work hard towards the achievement of victory.”
He further advised Christians to conduct themselves “in a manner that underlines our commitment to the fact that there is confidence of hope for the future of our country.”
According to the Editor of MyGhanaMedia as we celebrate Easter, one of the two major festivals of Christianity, I wish a Happy Easter to all Christians and Ghanaians in general. The resurrection of Jesus Christ remains the ultimate demonstration of victory over adversity.
“As a teacher, Jesus Christ of Nazareth travelled from place to place, preaching about God and how people can learn to forgive and live together in peace and harmony. Through his faith, he made the sick healthy again, the blind see, the deaf hear, and the multitude satisfied. He gave hope to those who had given up”.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day is a testimony of a new life of hope, promise and fulfilment for those who believe and work hard towards the achievement of victory.
Easter Sunday: Hope for tomorrow’
Adwenpa-Hene argues that we cannot control what happens to us in challenging circumstances. But we can through acceptance and search for meaning cultivate an attitude that will enable us to find meaning in the most difficult of life’s situations.
Easter tells the story of Jesus entering the raw emotions of our world becoming one with us in all life’s experience. The interminable human spirit, the richness of what is the best in humankind, casting the net of compassion and love into the sea of a burnt and hurting, and sick world and bringing people help and hope.
Nothing is wasted. The faces, the stories, and the resilience of those we encounter is sacred. It is food for the soul to allow people’s experiences to shape who we are. Shape us in compassion and appreciation of the gift of life and those we love.
May we find meaning in caring for and offering hope to each other, our families and communities.
“Let us celebrate Easter as a real source of hope; that there is a brighter future ahead of us. Let us use this Easter celebration to renew and strengthen our faith in God and conduct ourselves in a manner that underlines our commitment to the fact that there is confidence of hope for the future of our country.
May God bless the MyGhanaMedia , Ghana and us all.
