Female Immigration Officer Dies after Vehicle Run Over Her at Half Assini

A female Immigration Officer with Ghana Immigration Service has died in a horrible accident at Half Assini in the Central Region.

The deceased identified only as Hannah, a recruit died instantly after she was run over by a vehicle when she fell off from a motorbike while going for night duty.

“The lady was married with children before joining the service. His family is in Takoradi so she returned just on Monday to work. There is a new Immigration barrier in the New Town area between Half Assini and Jewe junction. She was going there on night duty onboard Okada so while they were going a car swerved a pothole but lost control of the steering wheel so the motor rider upon sensing danger, jumped off the motorbike leaving the Immigration officer who fell from the motorbike and the vehicle run over her Killing him instantly” Someone familiar with the deceased officer narrated.

The dismembered body of the deceased was taken into a polythene bag and deposited at the morgue.

The injured motorbike rider was on admission at the hospital.

The sudden death of the Immigration Officer has thrown the entire service into a state of shock and sadness.
