The Ghana Education Service (GES) has declared Thursday, March 07, 2024, as a holiday for all school children across the country.

The Service says the holiday is to allow the students rest after observing the Independence anniversary parade of the Republic.

In a statement issued Wednesday, March 06, 2024, the GES said “school resumes fully on Friday 8th March 2024.”

“All parents and guardians are therefore to take note,” the release added.

Independence parade was organised in schools across the country Wednesday to commemorate Ghana’s 67th Independence anniversary.

The grand parade was held in the Eastern regional capital, Koforidua, where President Akufo-Addo attended.
