Spread the love

Scores of Ghanaians have expressed outrage at comments they describe as reckless and unfortunate by former President John Dramani Mahama.

In a radio interview in Techiman during his tour of the North East region, the former President stunned listeners and Ghanaians, when he said that the NDC wad cheated in the 2020 electrons and that for the 2024 elections, ot will be a “do or die” affair at the polling station.

Former President Mahama’s abrasive comments have been roundly condemned by many, including some civil society leaders.

But the most damning condemnation of Mahama has been on social media, where scores of Ghanaians have taken to roast the former president.

On twitter for instance, ‘Do or Die’ has been trending since Tuesday, and on Wednesday morning, ‘Mahama’ trended at number for the wrong reasons.

Angry Ghanaians were shocked a former President would even be threading on the path of violence in the next elections.

Many also were of the view a man in the stature of Mahama, as a former head of state and a statesman, ought to know better, especially in his utterances.

Some also questioned Mahama’s principles and sincerity by going down memory lane to reproduce Mahama’s old quotes condemning rival politicians in the past for making similar comments.
