Gonja East: MCE Nominee Who Replaced ‘Rejected’ Tamimu Gets 100%

The East Gonja Municipal Assembly nominee Richard Broni has been confirmed after receiving 100 percent endorsement from members of the assembly.

He polled 34 yes votes out of 34 valid votes cast during the ballot on Monday November.

This comes after the president’s first nominee and outgoing MCE, Mohammed Tamimu, was rejected twice by the Assembly Members.

Ahead of the confirmation exercise today, some of the Assembly Members were seen pouring libation.
