The ICT center is equipped with 30 desktop computers and accessories, a server, a printer, a projector, and a remote-controlled automated electric projector screen.
This brings to a total of three (3) the number of ICT centers built by the CEO of Kofata Motors, Mr. Emmanuel Bright Obeng Nyarko, affectionately called Great Kofata.
He constructed the project to commemorate his late father, “Opanyin Emmanuel K. Nyarko,” on the occasion of his [late father’s] one-year anniversary. As a result, he named the cutting-edge ICT Laboratory “Opanyin Emmanuel K. Nyarko ICT Laboratory” after his late father.
Great Kofata told the media during the project’s commissioning on Friday, August 4, 2023, that it is his top objective to prioritize ICT education in order to promote teaching, learning, and research.
He, therefore, advised the chief and elders, the education director, instructors, students, and the general public to take care of the facility in order to improve their education.
He called on the students to study hard in order to make the facility’s establishment worthwhile.
Inaugurating the facility, Ms. Joyce Afriyie Adjepong, the Akyemansa District Education Director, expressed gratitude to Great Kofata for his educational support.
She stated that the three ICT centers would foster effective teaching and learning as technology transforms the world into a global community.
She appealed to the community to demonstrate the culture of maintenance so that posterity would also benefit from the facility.
The Chief of Akyem Asuboa North, Nana Agyei Bekoe II, urged everyone to help maintain the project and urged others to come out and aid the district.
He urged parents to encourage their children to use the center to obtain ICT knowledge.
