Some members of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region have thrown their weight behind Dr. Boris Baidoo to be elected as the Chairman for the region.
The leader of the group, Baffour Asare, disclosed that Dr. Boris’ leadership as the Ashanti Regional Chairman will not only be for victory for the party in the Ashanti Region but a sound one that will unite and awaken the spirit of the party amongst members.
He said the group, United Patriots will go all length in ensuring that their choice of candidate is elected as Chairman.
Dr. Boris Baidoo is the Chief Executive Officer of Boris B’s Farms and Veterinary Services.
He is also the Chairman of the Ashanti Regional Poultry Farmers Association.
The leader said: “We are not making an empty noise about someone we do not know. We are very determined to unite all party members while canvassing for those on the fence together for total victory at the Parliamentary and Presidential election
And we need someone who has conspicuously displayed great stewardship, understands what it means to manage people, and take the party more attractive in the region. We can find these qualities in Dr. Boris because he has a proven track record to deliver beyond this mandate”.
According to them, Dr. Boris is a true grassroots personality with a high winning mentality, who has, since 1992 committed his energy and resources enormously to the party’s core agenda..“We are talking about a man who spearheaded the “Nana One Touch Movement”, and has been actively involved in several other grassroots campaigns to date. We believe in innovation, vibrancy, a go-getter,-someone with the can-do spirit. And Dr. Boris is a shining example of these qualities” he added.
He further appealed to the leadership of the party especially the president, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to consider their plea.
To him, the candidate has significantly contributed its quota by employing a lot of people before and after the “One District One Constituency initiative”, providing economic support to individuals and communities, especially during this epoch of global pandemic.
