Kumasi Asante Kotoko has confirmed Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum as their new Head Coach ahead of the 2021/22 league season.
It comes just 24 hours after the exit of Portuguese Coach Mariano Barreto.
Ogum will be assisted by former Liberty Professionals coach David Ocloo.
The former coach of WAFA has signed a two year deal with the Kumasi-based team and would be unveiled on Sunday, according to reports.
“We’re delighted to announce Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum as our new Head Coach,” the club said.
“The Sports Psychologist , Educationist and Coach joins us on a 2-year deal from WAFA, having previously handled UCC Soccer Team, Elmina Sharks, Dwarfs and Karela Utd. #AKSC #WelcomeCoachProsper”
Kumasi Asante Kotoko failed to win any silverware last season, despite replacing Coach Maxwell Konadu with Barreto.
Coach Ogum led WAFA to a top-four finish in last season’s campaign.
The arrival of Ogum marks another journey in search for laurels.
