Nkrankese Residents Threaten not to Take Part In December 7th polls.

The chief and the  people of Nkrankese in the Sunyani Municipal of the Bono region have threatened not to vote in the come December 7th general elections due to lack of social amenities in the community.

Speaking to Myghanamedia.com,  Nana Yaw Adoma said, the community is not benefiting from the municipal Assembly’s cake because they lack social amenities such as portable water and a developmental projects. 

According to the chief, the distance between the source of electricity to their community is not far and they have write several petitions  to the municipal chief executive *MCE* and the  Member of Parliament to help them with electricity but they have not get any good  respond from them.

Electricity issues has been one of the biggest challenge in this community. Which we have confronted the authorities to help us get but yet our plead has proved futile. 

And then again where the students in this community attend school is also very far and when it rains they are unable to go to school”.

Nana Yaw Adoma added that, they have voted since decades  but have not benefited from the passed and the current government . “And We are urging the authorities to come to our aid else we the entire people’s of Nkrankese will not participate in the upcoming general elections. He hinted;

Meanwhile, the residents of the community saids, They been abandoned for so many years . There’s no single development in this community talking of good roads and access of portable drinking water.  

“This year we are not going to vote unless we get what we need because we do not know what we get from voting”, residents said.
