NPP Elections: Vote Out Wontumi If You Want To Retain Power In 2024 – NPP Told

Some Constituency executives of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region have said maintaining the incumbent Chairman of the party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Wontumi in the coming elections will send NPP to opposition.

 

The aggrieved executives have called for the immediate removal of the current regional executives lead by chairman Wontumi if the party want to retain power in 2024

 

According to them, the actions of Mr Wontumi and his other executives have consistently divided the party causing chaos in the party in the Ashanti Region.

 

Speaking to OTEC News Kwame Agyenim Boateng on April 20, 2022 about twelve constituency executives in the Ejisu alledged that , the party is currently on fire because Mr Wontumi consistently failed to respond or act on a petition written to the regional headquarters during a misunderstanding in the polling station elections.

urged on the National Executive Committee to stop Mr Wontumi from his mafia tactics which is caused the party in the 2020 parliamentary elections.

 

He added that, the internal elections of the party are gaining notoriety for clashes as the regional leadership have sidelined party’s constitution in the elections.

The Research and Elections Officer for Ejisu Isaac Boafo said the poor performance of the current regional leaders of the NPP will cause the party to lose vote if nothing is done immediately about the situation.
