Muslims in Ghana are among the millions of pilgrims undertaking the annual Hajj, which honours the sacrifice and devotion of Abraham and serves as a reminder of the shared Abrahamic roots of Islam, Judaism and Christianity.
The celebrations of Eid-ul-Adha also known as the “Festival of Sacrifice” is the second of the two Islamic festivities, which is celebrated annually worldwide.
Muslims approach God on this day by sacrificing a sheep, a cow, or a camel and distributing the meat to the poor. They unite to pray together with family and friends and show love.
The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPPs) constituency organiser for Bolgatanga Central, Mr. Maxwell Aburiya has sends his warm greetings to Muslims in, Upper East region and Ghana as a whole who are celebrating Eid ul-Adha and performing the Hajj this year.

He thanked Allah for seeing them (Muslims) through the year and prayed that their supplications, together with those who were able to embark on the journey to Hajj, would be answered.
“Warmest wishes for a blessed and joyous Eid al-Adha. May your time during this holiday and throughout the year be filled with peace, happiness, and good health,” he stated
