The Ghana Police Service has announced that its 2024 recruitment exercise, which began in August, has advanced to the next phase.
In a statement that was signed by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Grace Ansah-Akrofi, successful candidates are now being invited for medical examination, scheduled to take place on Thursday, November 7, 2024 and Friday, November 8, 2024 in Accra.
The statement also indicated that invitations were sent out via SMS to candidates who successfully passed the previous stages of the recruitment process and they are to pay the cost of the medical examination, which is GH¢ 980.00.
Below is the full statement:
1.The Ghana Police Service wishes to inform the general public that the Police recruitment exercise which was advertised to the public in August this year, has moved to the next stage with the invitation of successful candidates for medical examination.
2.The medical examination for the candidates who have been invited through SMS messages will commence on Thursday 7* to Friday 8th November 2024, in Accra, at the following designated locations:
- Police Church premises, near 37 Military Hospital
- Police Church premises, Odorkor
- Police Interdenominational Church premises, Police Depot, Tesano
- Formed Police Unit (FPU) Headquarters, Police Depot, Tesano
- Detective Training School, Police Depot, Tesano
- Police Academy, Police Depot, Tesano
All successful candidates are to take note that the cost of the medical examination is Nine Hundred and Eighty Ghana Cedis (GH¢ 980.00), which is the only money to be paid during this recruitment exercise. We, therefore, wish to caution the successful candidates in particular and the public in general, that anyone who demands any other payment from any person should be considered a fraudster and must be reported to the Police.
4.We also wish to caution the unsuccessful candidates against making payment to any person demanding money under the pretext of assisting them to be recruited.
5.Meanwhile, unsuccessful candidates have been notified accordingly and we wish them better luck next time.
