Popular Ghanaian sports journalist, Papa Richie De Alcantara has resigned as an employee of Ghana’s Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah’s Akyem Oda based Akyemansa FM after five years of working with the award-winning media network.
Papa Richie announced his resignation via his various social media handles.
In a post, he wrote: “I will like to say thank you to the management and staff of Akyemansa FM for an amazing five years of working together. It’s been a wonderful place and has afforded me the opportunity to learn and grow and I am grateful for all the opportunities the platform afforded me.
It’s been an honor and a privilege. Thank you so so much “
This comes as a surprise to many because Papa Richie was one of the key people who boost the image of Akyemansa FM as far as listenership and loyalty is concerned.
Mr Papa Richie was the executive producer of Akyemansa Biegya Power Sports and foreign sports presenter, which he played his role to the admiration of all and sundry.
He was also the host of Akyemansa life worship on Tuesday, Thrusday and Friday from 3:30pm to 4:30pm each day.
Papa Richie was also the co-host of the station’s (Akyemansa FM) drive time show as well as host of special Bobobor program on every Sunday from 12:45pm to 2pm.
Reliable information indicates that , Papa Richie De Alcantara has switch to Akyem Akroso based Atweaman FM as part of their sports desk.
