President John Dramani Mahama has nominated 15 individuals for ambassadorial and consular positions, with notable names including veteran actress Kalsoume Sinare and former Member of Parliament, Nii Amasah Namoale.
The nominations follow consultations with the Council of State and are the first batch of such appointments since President Mahama assumed office in January 2025. The list was contained in a letter dated June 10, 2025, from the Office of the President to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Kalsoume Sinare, a household name in Ghana’s creative arts industry has been nominated to serve as Ghana’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain.
Nii Amasah Namoale, a seasoned politician and former MP for La Dadekotopon, has been picked to represent Ghana in Brazil as Ambassador to the Federative Republic. Known for his grassroots mobilisation skills and strong ties within the party, his appointment is expected to deepen Ghana’s engagement with Latin America’s largest economy.
